"CARE provides a range of programs that further help seniors maintain an active and healthy lifestyle."
Care
Coordinated Assessments and Resources for the Elderly (CARE) provides
support and assistance to older adults whose independence is compromised by chronic illness, physical limitations and/or mental health issues.
Peer Support, Companion and Prevention programs help preserve personal dignity through friendship and support.
With advancing age, physical and mental health becomes increasingly important as life changes emerge. Ability to cope, positive feelings of self-worth and problem solving skills can make the difference in life adjustment and overall life satisfaction. CARE staff works with individuals and families to assist with the life skills and resources they need.
In addition, arrangements can be made for individual counseling and
psychiatric consultations. These programs are certified by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, and follow specific policies and
guidelines for quality, appropriateness, and accessibility.
